So Very Close!

Izzy will be home FOREVER in just 2 days 4 hours and 47 minutes

We are ready, I hit a few stress bumps but so far so good! A little time with God reminded me this is his plan! He is an amazing God, he hand picked this match!

Her Room!
Oh her room! It is such a relaxing retreat! I hope she likes it as much as we do. Even Bill likes it and it is girly. It has the things she said she wanted. Carpet, odd thing to ask for, but I guess it might be a luxury we just assume everyone has. A bed. A beach chair, she suggested it be painted on the wall, but it is a real one. A canopy over the bed. Beachy, she has talked about how she likes the beach, but when I asked when was the last time you went, she said, never really. We will fix that pretty fast. She asked for a desk but I told her we will probably not have one because she will have her own space in the art room, and she perked up and was OH REALLY! But homework is done in the dining room where I can keep and eye on you. She laughed and said yeah, I get distracted when doing my homework so that is probably the best thing.

So ready to be parents! More to come!

Single Digits

We are down to 9 days until Izzy comes home. We have so much to do to get ready. Paint and decorate and just get the house ready. Realized this morning I need to go stock her bathroom with all the goodies a girl needs to look her best.
I wanna thank everyone for all the encouraging words. I've been riding on a emotional roller-coaster for a while now, excited, scared, excited, scared, I'm trying not to think too far in future and really scare myself. Day by day is how I'm rolling!

The count down begins!

This was the second best Memorial Day Weekend EVER! #1 was 10 years ago when I got that first email from American Singles...10 years later I spent it with my 2 favorite people in the world. My husband and my daughter!

It is only 15 days until Izzy comes home, I have so much to get done but yet I sit here playing on the computer and watching TV. I'm living up to the norm. Waiting till the last minute to clean and get ready. Heck I know us, if we start now we will just have to clean again!

God is Great!

Finally the day we have been waiting for is fast approaching. 2.5 days until we meet our gift from God! Our daughter! Brandy. I wish I could post picutres but not yet. But soon! It has been a long road. Lot's of classes that were real eye openers. Honestly I feel some of the classes should be requirements for everyone. Not just parents. It has been a roller coaster of highs and lows. But since May 5th it has all been highs. We are now at the stage where we are allowed to call Brandy nightly. Some nights she is very talkative and ask a lot of questions others not so much. You can tell in her voice she is excited and scared just like we are. We sent her a bunch of photos and I made her a metal embossed sign that says MYERS Bill Robin Brandy. She really liked it. I can't wait to teach her how to make her own. I have not been sleeping much for serveal weeks. Lots of shopping and decorating in my sleep. She will be home in 38 days, FOREVER!

Spinning

Well so much had happened since last week.

Thursday late afternoon Bill started having abdominal pain again and it was bad enough that he requested a ride to the ER. As usual when we got there the pain was gone. But we stayed. This time the found he has Gallstones. His blood levels were off the charts so he was admitted. We expected surgery but due to the power outages from IKE we had Ike Baby Weekend, he was bumped 4 times from surgery for emergency c-sections. So he and doc decided to send him home and do the procedure out-patient vs. staying there for 2 more days. He was feeling fine and all his blood work was excellent when he left so he was no longer an emergency patient. He is back and work and being his normal self. We are hoping for this Friday, we are just waiting on the insurance and doc to work out the day.

On June 22 Julia and Hannah will arrive in Texas to stay with us for about 6-8 weeks. We have a lot planned for them. Beach, July 4th Parade, Dallas, Sea World, Scrapbook Camp, RAD kids self defense school and lots of read and book reports since they both need help with reading. I think I will make them read me a bed time story each night. OOO yeah! And Roller Derby...can't for that!

Back to Back

I doubt anyone is reading this since I've been such a slacker on posting. :)

Today I have been so tired, then I got the hiccups and for some reason they were painful. They lasted about 1 hour. I hope that does not mean I'm growing!

Tomorrow I will have a helper. They have hired a floater to help with stuff, like copies, shipping and gathering samples. She gets to sit with me and watch me work...what joy for both of us!

As you can see I really don't have much to say!
Going to see Zoe, my new great niece tonight! I need to stop and get her a little something. Like ummm a ummm...what kinda treat do you get a one month old? LOL

It's Spaghetti night!
