Isolation is a 10 letter bad word!

Last week I was in medical isolation. WOW I think it was the hardest thing I have ever done. Not being able to touch anyone else was a lot harder than I thought. Using gloves to just get a drink from the frig. The being waited on hand and foot at "feeding time" that was fun. But that was the only part that was. Even batheing was a pain. New soap, towels and stuff treating like they were toxic. Wait, they were! It was just very difficult.

I slept all day for 2.5 days because I could not do much else. I had big plans to clean out drawers and scrap and stuff, but the doc. said I should not handle anymore than I have too.

Keeping the kitties at bay was impossible, I would shew them away and 2 mins later they are back. They know when things are not right and they do thier best to comfortment at those times so they could not understand why they could not hold me. I just made a point to not hug them and let them hang at my lap and feet. There comes a point where one just gives up on the shewing.

The days were long but I made it through and it made me appriate human contact and realize how important it is to me. Funny how 8 years ago I could gone for weeks like that not have been effected but now that I have Bill I can't stand a single day.

Tomorrow I start my meds. so hopefully we are mere weeks away from the new Robin.

My First Post

Life has been interesting to say the least for me this year. Up it is all uphill from here. It started of good then took a shocking turn that taught me a lot. Allot about love and trust.

First I was released from a 4 year treatment for hyer-plasia, which gave us a great outlook to start a family, then almost immediately that was took away. Weight loss has brought open my eyes to many things. I have discovered that shopping for clothes can be fun, and these strange things called bones, seems they support my body or something. I also discovered my evil little friend we call Larry the Lump. Larry had to go. Larry had to tested and tested again. The worst 3 little words I have ever heard Small Needle Aspiration (run, run far and fast). Larry could could bring very shock and scary news, he was a suspect! SO off to the hospital we go. Surgery 1 reveal he was truly evil, evil of the worst kind. So back for surgery 2, Larry is forcing the complete remove of his home, my Thyroid. Now that Larry has gone I'm learning to love without him, weight gain, mood swings, and a new symptom, weakness and shaking. April 3 will begin the final process of the Larry eviction, our first appointment to arrange radiation treatment. I'm freaked out more about this than anything. There could be up to 5 days of isolation and these days I do not do well when left alone. No matter how hard I try I fall into funk and can't get out with my Bill. What will I do without his hugs. I sure hope this is coming to and end of my bad luck with my health. I thank God for my weight loss surgery, it has saved my life twice.

I sure miss scrapbooking. But it's hard right now, I try to sit down to it but he juices just will not flow. I hope when my mind it clear it will all come back to me!

Love you all.
Hugs
