Test and Pain

Seem like everyone I know is going through some sort of medical dilemma these days. I finally got in to see my long vacationing doctor and he order a few test. So far I have had a abdominal CT scan with and without contrast. (showed nothing) a Gallbladder ultrasound (showed nothing) and today a HIDA scan that was pleasurable...NOT! The test took 1.5 hours during the time you lay on a hard narrow "bed" and be still for 1 hours while the scan you organs by watching them with a nuclear die. Then then inject you with a HORRIBLE substance that makes you gallbladder go cookoo and you wanna go puke. When it was all over I did not feel very well at all, tired, a little queasy and weak. But I survived I should have those results soon. Next on the 21st. they are going to check for internal hernias with an out patient procedure. He will fix anything he sees at the time. I need to tell him about the pain I have for year in my lower left ovary area that NO ONE had been able to figure out, look and see if it is a inny-hernia.

Quite funny, when I returned to work today after the HIDA the boys were giving me hard time. They were afraid to come to my desk to make their UPC's, fear they might get radiated and not be able to bear children. The Pat (oooo pat) he would not let me use the microwave he said that it was too dangerous for me to be near it in my current condition. So heat heat up my singles pizza for me. How Sweet! But then not 15 mins later was telling everyone the reason the pipe in the bathroom burst today was because I was nuclear active and I must have used the restroom and the pipe were weakened by my nuclear powers. Just when you think they are sweet they turn right back in the typical boys. (I guess that's one reason I like my job so much, the people I work with are great)

Any-who...my belly is doing it pain thing so I'm off to bed.

Merry I wish you well and remember getting upset at the hospital staff will not help, be patient and let it roll off your back. you did not check into a spa with a gourmet kitchen :)

Kim keep me posted! We must compare symptoms soon :) and maybe scars :)

Love you all! Miss you all!

TOO funny! It really is great to have people at work you can laugh with.

I'm frea and clear, just an ulcer that should, according to the doc, heal itself with medication and time.

You know you're getting old when all of your friends are blogging about their illnesses! LOL!!!!

HEY,other than the one food issue--NOT getting any-- I was cool. I can honestly say I have never had such a pleasant experience in a hospital before now. Everyone and I mean everyone was absolutely wonderful. Thus far all my doctors--and I've seen a lot--have been fantasitic. I'm very impressed with their desire to move quickly toward results.
