Gratetful Blog #1

I'm grateful for Novocaine. The tooth I was suppose to have a root canal on ended up being pulled, the doc said the cavity in it was just too deep. So I can add one tooth to my long list of missing body parts!

Sorry NO pixs for this lovely event.

Vacation WOO HOO

Tomorrow is the first day of our big trip! I have been so stressed over the last week getting ready for the trip, but it's now is just hours away!

I have been training people at my work to do my job and I sure hope that goes well. If not it will make them realize how much they need me :)

Packing is done other than our bathroom stuff. We are taking everything to the send off destination tonight!

I will post when we get back and MAYBE if I can remember the website while I'm gone.

I wish you all a happy 4th!

It's all over!

Well my Gallbudy is gone and so it a hernia. The surgery was a breeze I did not feel a thing. Wake up ....well. I felt like I gave birth to a 200 pound gorilla out of my belly button. I'm doing OK today. Still sore but fully capable of getting up and around (at my own pace). Odd thing is I can hardly eat anything, like right after my WLS surgery, makes me wander if he cinched up my pouch too? How sweet would that be. I did not say at the hospital long. They did not have any rooms on the 5th floor (general surgery) and Dr. Ferrari told the nurse if I felt I could go home I could. Of course I said yes. 15 mins later I was in the truck! The best part of the surgery was when I getting changed into my hospital attire and they had to have me change to something smaller! Then the nurse had to go find a smaller BP cuff. It was a great feeling. 2 years ago they would have to go find bigger. The OR nurse remembered Bill, she was happy to see him. She told him he was the biggest person they had operated on, she was so happy to see how well he was doing. She said she wished she could see more after people b/c she usually sees them at a bad time in there life and it great to see how what they are doing makes people so much happier and healthier. This is all for today...25 days till vacation!!!!!

2 more days

Only 2 more days with my GALLBUDDY! I sure hope his removal puts and end to my "issues".

This past weekend was a full one and quiet fun. Saturday we did our usual trip to the Tatums so Bill can make some side money for the trip. Sunday we headed over to Pick A Part for the 50% off sale. Bill got many things he needed for Berthas rebirth. We actually found a K-5 the same year to rob part off over, that made him happy. The we had a little for Lynsey's B-day! Monday back to the Tatums to work and BBQ. I helped Rick cook and was my hands were burned by jalapeƱos juice from making Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. TASTY! The the big adventure of the weekend. Bill actually got me on the 4 wheeler with him. I'm such a big wienie when it comes to stuff like that. I screamed and screamed, then he made me drive! LOVED IT! I did not want to get off. I was so flipping tired on Monday! But it was all worth it. I'm sure this weekend I will not be doing much of anything!!!!

After the recovery I HAVE to start the dreaded swimsuit shopping. That might actually be worse than the surgery. LOL

and the results are in...

Well my gallbladder is coming out. May 30th to be exact. While int here he is going to look for any other issues, like kinks or hernias (Hyenas as Lynsey calls them). I have not been hurting too much lately but every time I say that it comes back. More nausea now than anything. I'll be back to new in no time.

Our BIG TRIP is almost planned. We have it mapped out, the hotels booked and adventures planned. I'm really excited about it. Here are the plans leave at 4pm on Thursday, arrive about midnight on Friday (yes we are driving to MI) Saturday we are going to "evaluate the car" and park the trailer on a friends corn and beet farm, then spending some time In Frankenmuth (www.frankenmuth.org) then we will be having a family picnic (Bill's dad side) on Sunday. Monday we are heading even further north to Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island (www.mackinacisland.org)
Tuesday we are even further north to Grand Island and staying at the Sunset Motel (www.sunsetmotelonthebay.com) and doing all the tourist stuff. Thursday we will head back south to FREE suites at the Soaring Eagle Compliments of Bill's mom (www.soaringeaglecasino.com) then Saturday we are going to pack up the car on the trailer and all the weary travelers (include 2 tag-a-longs) and coming back to Texas! WOO it is going to be a blast.

We have a new HD digit camera with a 35x zoom and a new video camera for the trip! So excited about those too.

To put the icing on the cake BERTHA LIVES. since we are bring home the 64 GTO we had to make room for her. So Saturday Bertha was resurrected she runs and is purring like a Lion! She is a beast, I posted her picture. She is nothing pretty but she is fun!

Well it is midnight on a work night I have to go get Bill to come inside (he out there with his new girl Bertha) and head to bed.

Love you all!

Test and Pain

Seem like everyone I know is going through some sort of medical dilemma these days. I finally got in to see my long vacationing doctor and he order a few test. So far I have had a abdominal CT scan with and without contrast. (showed nothing) a Gallbladder ultrasound (showed nothing) and today a HIDA scan that was pleasurable...NOT! The test took 1.5 hours during the time you lay on a hard narrow "bed" and be still for 1 hours while the scan you organs by watching them with a nuclear die. Then then inject you with a HORRIBLE substance that makes you gallbladder go cookoo and you wanna go puke. When it was all over I did not feel very well at all, tired, a little queasy and weak. But I survived I should have those results soon. Next on the 21st. they are going to check for internal hernias with an out patient procedure. He will fix anything he sees at the time. I need to tell him about the pain I have for year in my lower left ovary area that NO ONE had been able to figure out, look and see if it is a inny-hernia.

Quite funny, when I returned to work today after the HIDA the boys were giving me hard time. They were afraid to come to my desk to make their UPC's, fear they might get radiated and not be able to bear children. The Pat (oooo pat) he would not let me use the microwave he said that it was too dangerous for me to be near it in my current condition. So heat heat up my singles pizza for me. How Sweet! But then not 15 mins later was telling everyone the reason the pipe in the bathroom burst today was because I was nuclear active and I must have used the restroom and the pipe were weakened by my nuclear powers. Just when you think they are sweet they turn right back in the typical boys. (I guess that's one reason I like my job so much, the people I work with are great)

Any-who...my belly is doing it pain thing so I'm off to bed.

Merry I wish you well and remember getting upset at the hospital staff will not help, be patient and let it roll off your back. you did not check into a spa with a gourmet kitchen :)

Kim keep me posted! We must compare symptoms soon :) and maybe scars :)

Love you all! Miss you all!

WOW back to back!

Well I have nothing new or impressive to say today. I'm at work..."working" and passing time.

Last night my pain reached a level 9 but I could not wake up Bill, I even had the lights on in the room and all and he almost got up, he rolled over but fell asleep again. I decided to walk it off and hold off for my appointment tomorrow. I was ready to go unshaved legs and all. Tonight I plan on preparing myself, shaved legs and a little overnight bag...for the just in case. My co-workers are quite a afraid of what is wrong with me, they all fear my job. I don't know why I love it. It's not hard or scary nor does it require me to need to left 100 lbs. and juggle at the same time. They say it is the 18 years of stuff I have store in my brain. I guess that should make me feel good, but I just think I don't get it I have an easy job.

Anyway I gotta get back to work now I have 3 phone calls I have to return to vendors asking questions about labels and 4:30 means it time to check the dreaded logos email box. Always full of lame questions. When I get to say sorry not not approved, over and over. LOL

Laters!

Remember Me?

It has been so long since I posted I forgot I even had this thing. Work is slow this week so I was surfing around in my favorites folder and found myself.

There is nothing new to report really. Bill and I are saving money like mad people so we can go to MI for July 4th and bring how 3 treasures. His Dad's 64 GTO, his niece and her little girlfriend Hannah. They are coming to visit for about a month and a half. Should be fun (fingers crossed).

On March 21st (good friday) at lunch I developed a pain and since then it has come and gone. I have an appointment finally to see Dr. Ferrari (my WLS dr. retired) on Friday to see what it is. The nurses have told me over and over to go to the ER but I don't feel the pain is ER intense. Trust me if it gets there I will. they have hinted it could be my gall bladder or a hernia. I did go to my GP and he ran some test and did a CT scan but it did not show anything. And NOW Bill is having the same (ish) kind of pains. I wander if the hospital will give us a 2 for 1 deal.

I have not scraped in like forever! Infact one of my tables is still in the dining room from Easter. I have a bags of SU stuff and 2 KOM I have not even opened. I should be ashamed!

I have to brag on my Bill now...he has lost an amazing 358lbs. since dec. 3 2005. Me we won't talk about, I still would love to loose another 30 and I know I have to make that effort. But I am happy. I just wish I could tell my body where to loose from.

Now I'm going to put a reminder in my email to post everyday. :0) I hope that works!

Type at ya soon.

Long Time No See

Life has been a whirl-wind for me. Things seem to be slowly going back to normal. Since I last posted Bill and I both had rather urgent surgeries. Me it was casual, then suddenly the Dr. called said I was scheduled for Friday, see he did not like what he seen on the ultrasound. The results (as read by him) were bad and by him again we must proceed immediatly with IVF and follow the birth with a hystroectomy. I was FREAKED to say the least cried for days! Then I went to see the one doctor I knew would set things right. Dr. Carlos Herrera OGBYN-Oncology. He said you DO NOT have cancer you have signs of cells developing which cold take 5-10 years to do anything IF they do that. He insured me I would be alright and when I asked about what to do with the other doc. he said cancel the appointment, let somelse by his new car! and I'll see you in 6 months or 3-4 when your PG.

Then Bill OOOO BILL. He had been having a pain off and on for about 4 months. It would pass and we would forget about it. Well one afternoon it came back and he called to say he was driving himself to Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital. I dropped everyhting and me him there, 45 mins in the ER wait he was fine. BUT we stayed and at 8 am the next morning he is surgery for a kinked bowel. Poor baby. Now they are looking at a possible leak in the RNY.

Life goes on and we are bothing doing well today. It's been crazy, but weakness only makes you stronger.

Bill makes me a stronger person, I was so scared for him and us. We are blessed to have a strong faith and great friends!
